OC4BA in P3D v4 Add On menu

Post by escasoni »

Hi,

Followed your instructions re putting OC4BA into the new P3D v4 Add On menu but have searched my computer for USERPROFILE\Prepar3d v4 but the search turns up nothing.
Sorry for being so dim, but additional help identifying this file path would be appreciated.

Sorry for the confusion. I now see that I have a mispring.

It should have been

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Prepar3d v4 Add-ons

Either write

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Prepar3d v4 Add-ons in the Windows search field

or

go to your Documents folder and fine the Prepar3D v4 Add-ons folder there.

Hi,

Have completed the folder and notepad text as advised but no OC4BA appears in the PMDG add on menu.

Notepad text was copied and pasted with the SIOC path change as advised.

My installation is now as follows :-

C;\Users\Ron\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\rksoftware OC4BAv4\add-on.xml

The copied and pasted xml notepad file contets are :-

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="AddOnXml" version="4,0" id="add-on">
<AddOn.Name>rksoftware OC4BAv4</AddOn.Name>
<AddOn.Description>Opencockpits hardware module interface to PMDG airplanes</AddOn.Description>
<AddOn.Component>
<Category>EXE</Category>
<Path>D:\SIOC\OC4BA_Menu.exe</Path>
</AddOn.Component>
</SimBase.Document>

Is there anything else that should be done ?

You should have got a download link for the new OC4BAv4 beta.

I suggest that you download the new updated OC4BAv4 and re-install.

If you have already done that then you need to change

your add-on.xml

to OC4BAv4_Menu instead of the OC4BA_Menu

The new OC4BAv4 setup take care of this automatically
