Houston... we have a problem!

I have a problem to run the OC4BAv2.2. I'll try to detail the steps that I follow and the error obtained:

1) Run FSX

Image

2) Change aircraft, departure airport, etc...

Image

3) Select OC4BA Setup and Fly from the sim menu bar

Image

4) First I press the S button without getting any additional screen as shown in the manual (paragraph 3.c)

Image

5) Then, I try to configure the modules pressing "Setup your cockpits modules button" and I get this fatal error

Image

Image

sioc.ini at this point contain:

Code: Select all

[
CONFIG_FILE=ocp4ngx_v2.2.ssi
MASTER=15,5,1,75
To try and fix the problem, I put my old SIOC.INI which worked fine with the beta version. Now, I click on S button and the following screen appears

Image

Press again in the setup button and load the screen that appears in the manual

Image

Click on aircraft PMDG 737 and script ocp4ngx_v2.2.ssi ans select EXIT in menu bar

And then I get this error again

Image

At this point, sioc.ini was edited by the soft and contains this

Code: Select all

[ fichero de configuracion para el SIOC ver. 4.6 ]
[ Configuration file for SIOC ]

[**
CONFIG_FILE=ocp4ngx_v2.2.ssi
MASTER=15,5,1,75

I found a temporary alternative, but I like to have a definitive solution.

1) Put my old sioc.ini and mark it read-only
2) Run sioc.exe
3) Run OCP4NGX.exe directly from h:\sioc\

This way it works, but it is not what you put in the manual and do not know if this has other consequences

If you needed additional information do not hesitate to ask me

Hi

4) First I press the S button without getting any additional screen as shown in the manual (paragraph 3.c)

There is a fault in the documentation. You MUST select an aircraft before before pressing the S symbol will show you any cockpit setting screen.
You also need to do your first configuration before you will see any configured modules in same screen.

A revised documentation will come in first update.

5) Then, I try to configure the modules pressing "Setup your cockpits modules button" and I get this fatal error

My recommendation is to stat all over:

Uninstall any old rk software/OC4BA programs. Uninstall the OC4BA v2. Uninstall SIOC.

Clean up manually to make sure no SIOC, rksoftware and OC4BA v2 is left by deleting you SIOC folder .
Make sure you don’t have another SIOC folder located somewhere.

Then reinstall SIOC to the parent folder where your FSX is located.

And lastly install OC4BA v2.

Check that your sioc.ini that came with your installer has the following initial text( before you do any configuration)
------------
[SIOC]
IOCP_port=8092
IOCP_timeout=4000
Minimized=Yes
toggle_delay=20
[IOCARDS MODULE]
IOCard_disable=No
IOCard_LPT=No
[FSUIPC MODULE]
FSUipcdisable=No
FSUipcRefresh=60
[IOCP CLIENTS MODULES]
IOCPini_delay= 3000
IOCPclient0_disable=no
IOCPclient0_host=localhost
IOCPclient0_port=8099
IOCPclient1_disable=yes
IOCPclient1_host=localhost
IOCPclient1_port=8092
[SOUND MODULE]
Sound_disable=Yes
Volume=100
[*]
--------------
An updated installer telling users to UNINSTALL old rk software/OC4BA/OCP4NGX before installing OC4BA v2 will be made

If you wait some hours a new updated OC4BA v2 will be made available to download

THX for your support. I have uninstalled BETA version prior install v2.2, but it's true that I'm not sure about the integrity of default sioc.ini. I'll wait for the new version to uninstall, install from scratch and try again.

Hi,

My planned update will not be released today, sorry.

Updated OC4BA v2 Documentation and Sioc.ini files can be downloaded from http://flightsim4fun.com/how-to--downloads.html.

In the meantime you can download the Sioc.ini file and run OC4BAConfig to check that everyting is OK.
