Hi Klaus,
the variables you are looking for, are 2323 and 2324, if you are working with switches for "IDLE" and "CUTOFF"

Var 2323, name CS_ENG1_SL, static, Link IOCARD_SW, Device 31, Input 64

Var 2324, name CS_ENG2_SL, static, Link IOCARD_SW, Device 31, Input 63

I had previously connected them to free inputs of my FWD OVH (device 30) but now connected to the MIP (Device 31). Both worked fine. You have to change device and input numbers acording to your hardware.

Klaus,
1) these lines are not included in the scripts by default (I'm on version 7.0 now). You simply have to add them.

2) my first intension also was to assign engine start levers (Idle - Cutoff) directly to switches / buttons of a joystick. I have a self made TQ based on an OC axis card that works like a joystick card. But I failed becauce these things seem not to be implemented in MS FS 2020 keyboard / joystick setup or I didn't find them.

Fortunately Roar has implemented lots of additional PMDG events in his driver software, so we only have to add some lines for our special (non OC-Standard) requirements in our modified scripts.

e.g. I have added CABIN ALT and TAKEOFF CONFIG annunciator commands of the MIP and some switches of the TQ (eng start, TOGA, A/T disengage, stab trim cut out and parking brake).
In Roars documentation / input variables list these variables refer to CS (control stand)

Hope this helps
