Moving Map and All(?) MSFS 2020 POIs shown?

Post by taucher61 »

Hello,

my name is Peter, located in the wonderful area of Franconia in Bavaria in Germany in Europe.

I am not new to Flight Simulator (starting with version 2 or 3, still having the discs for 5.1), but new to FStarter24, an excellent tool for me as I am preferring VFR flights.

I have two questions, where I couldn't find an answer in other posts here in this forum:
  • Is it possible to switch on a "moving map", where the plane is always centered, like in Little Navmap?
  • I (think I) understood, that the MSFS POI info is taken directly from the scenery files, but I see differences between FStarter24 and MSFS (See attachment). Did I misunderstood something or just not activated the right option? Or is there another reason for the differences shown in my screenshots?
Greetings,

Peter

Latest vesrion of FStarter24 now only supports a "moving airplane". It could be implemented in a later version of FStarter24 after MSFS2024 has been released.

FStarter24 does only have a database of 3D modelled POIs. This database is manually created and not taken from the scenery files. The POIs you are showing in the MSFS World Map are not all 3D modelled POIs and therefore not shown under MSFS POIs in FStarter24.
