A bug related to changing weather profile when loading a saved flight was introduced in FlightSave v1.1.0.
The bug did not appear for all airplanes, only a few airplanes.
This has now been fixed in the latest built of FlightSave, v1.1.2.
User can update by clicking the FlightSave Menu - Check for Updates and download latest version, v1.1.2 and run the downloaded Setup file.

Hello! I hope I've placed this in the right thread! I just purchased FlightSave24. While the saving is working, and restoring the aircraft's geographic position, I've encountered a couple of issues that prevent me from using the save properly.

In particular, the save appears to load with the aircraft at 0ft; in my case, I was flying a helicopter from an oil rig, and it was in the water once the save loaded. Then, when I clicked "ready to fly," the helicopter actually positioned itself back on the oil rig's helipad as if I had never left. Unfortunately, it appears that Asobo has removed the ability to save FLT files in MSFS2024, so perhaps this is a side-effect of that?

Any feedback or support is appreciated! Thank you!

Did you read the Help doc and tried this:
MSFS2024 will start the loading process.
You will need to make a new click on flight marker a few seconds after you clicked the Start flight in MSFS2024 World UI so
the flight is loaded to the correct flight marker and not at the beginning of the flight.
Enable Active Pause to change airplane settings if needed to set up the autopilot to get control of the airplane if the loaded
flight situation was saved in an unstable flight situation. Do not use the in-game active pause when the FlightSave24’s Active
Pause is used.

It also could be that FStarter24 V2 is a better tool for you if you are into helicopters

Hello!

Sorry for the delay in responding!

Thank you for the advice! I gave your suggestion a try. Unfortunately, if I click the position on the map a second time before clicking "ready to fly", the aircraft does move to the correct position, but then stays "loading", and the "ready to fly" button does not reappear. Trying to load an FSUIPC7 autosave from FSUIPC7 itself seems to result in the same behaviour-- that is, the aircraft appears at the correct coordinates but at ground level, and clicking "ready to fly" places it back on the helipad.

This leads me to think this is an MSFS2024 issue, and has nothing to do with FlightSave at all! Hopefully, Asobo will resolve this issue in a future update. In the meantime, I wanted to thank you for your support, and I'll make good use of this tool should the flight behaviour ever be fixed in MSFS 2024.

MSFS2020 still works for me 95% of the time, but 2024 just seems to be better when it comes to helicopters.

Take care!

I am looking into the FlightSave24 code again to see what is going on here with MSFS2024.
MSFS2024 is a very bug infested game, there are so many bugs that you want believe it.

Hopefully ASOBO will fix this issue, but they have a loooong list of bugs to kill.

Keep an eye on this forum to check if a solution to your problem is release.

Indeed, you're not kidding! I could only imagine the stuff going on in the codebase that end users don't know about, let alone the ones we see! Thank you for your investigation and efforts! I'll keep an eye out here for any updates in the future. Have a good one! :)

Here is a new FlightSave24.exe for testing.
This is for those of you that have issues like loading a saved flight place you on the ground and not in the air.

Important: If you see the airplane icon placed on the start of your saved flight instead of the position you clicked on the FlightSave24 map, make another clcik on the map marker after a few second into the FlightSimulator loading.

Report any issues you have.

Download and unzip over the old FlightSave24.exe

My apologies for the delay! Thank you for making the new build! I gave it a try. Unfortunately, it appears to be having the same issue. I've attached a video below illustrating the behaviour I was seeing! Definitely seems like an MSFS behaviour!

A new download is ready after I made some specific changes for saving and loading helicopter flights.
Not fully tested , but a saved helicopter flight should now work.

FSTARTER24 could be better app for those that use helicopters.
