Saving MSFS flights

First I want to express my appreciation for your help for an older user. With each step forward I seem to come up with a new question. Now I'm trying to save an MSFS flight. After establishing a stable flight when I press "save" nothing happens. Obviously, I'm missing a crucial step. Would appreciate some more help. Thanks.

Before you click Save you have to set a name to the MSFS flight you want to save.
You will not see anything happen, but the flight with full MSFS data wshould be saved.
You can check with a click on Load to see that you now have the saved flight in the pop out window and also view the flight marker on the OSM map.
To load a saved MSFS flight you have 2 options:
1.Click Load and the a new click on the line in the pop out window of the flight you want to load.
2. View MSFS flight in the OSM map and click a flight marker
You also (I guess you already know) have a simpler save function that creates a POI.
THe main differences is that the MSFS save function will save all MSFS variables for the flight.
Hope this clarify things a little more.
If it doesn't work this way for you, tell us.

Sloppy1918, I started MSFS and established a level flight over my home town in the stock ICON A5. Then I started FStarter and entered a flight name in the box and then clicked save. I then clicked load and there were no entries to choose. Similarly, I clicked delete and there was nothing to delete.
Do I need to open FStarter first or vice-versa? Could an anti-virus program be interfering? My MSFS installation is the store version installed on the C drive.
Thanks for the help.

The saved flights are stored in the FStarter subfolder "msfsflight"
Do you have the v3.03.0 of FStarter? If not download from your SHOP.

No, I have an older version. I downloaded the new version zip file; however, it will not open and unzip. I get message saying the compressed folder is empty.

Unfortunately my flightsim account has somehow been messed up and I'm unable to get the updates there. MVR1918 was kind enough to send me a link to the program which I've used to date and have previously updated using the link provided on the FStarter screen. However, that link leads to a flawed download. All help is appreciated.

Thank you for all the help. I've gotten my account back at flightsim.com store but the only download I can get is version 2.9.0.0. Still can't get the update to the 3.0 versions. I contacted flightsim store and received an answer that they would contact the developer and get back to me. So far still in waiting mode.

FStarter v3.0.3 should be in the Flightsim.com STORE

It seems to me that the Flightsim.com store har the correct version 3.0.3 info, but not the Fstarter v3.0.3 files.
I have contacted Flightsim.com STORE again and told them to update.
I have also sent you a download link to latest v3.0.3
