FW-OVHD PMDG738 - ENG Start Switches

Hi,

if I've finished a flight and it's a turn around preflight procedure only, I noticed a problem.
During pushback engine start is finished and all setups are then carried out in the flow. But, if I
try to switch the engine start switches to CONT I feel a resistance and it's impossible to switch it.
The only possibillity is to switch it virtually, but that is no fun and unrealistic.

I appreciate every help!

Best regards Rolf

Hi Rolf

Are the servo's retuning to a 'FREE STATE' meaning the starter switches are able to move freely, and not being restricted by the servo?

Hi Ian,

thank you for reply!
This evening I did a turn around in Helsinki and I'm a little bit irritated because the right ENG Start Switch
was free to turn to GRD in order to start engine number two.
ENG Start Switch left wasn't free to switch because there was a resistance and I feeled a light vibration, therefore
I guess that it is restricted by the servo.

Best regards
Rolf

I've just posted a reply to another thread ref this issue I had the same in OI4FS and PMDG 2020

My solution as below was to add and if condition when the start switches passed the off position to "reset" them to a neutral position that clears the switch arc.

You could do similar and copy the commands for the CONT and FLT switch settings as well if its an issues on those settings as well
