I do accept that this is installed under Program Files (x86) but so is all my flight sim software and was installed as admin and run as admin. Everything else works just fine.

Thanks.

Try to start SIOC.exe with the correct content in SIOC.ini file. With the correct content I mean the content you have in the QUALITYWINGS B787.ini.
The try P3D and the B787.

Okay, so done that and still no joy.

sioc.ini now looks like this:

[SIOC]
IOCP_port=8092
IOCP_timeout=4000
Minimized=Yes
toggle_delay=20
[IOCARDS MODULE]
IOCard_disable=No
IOCard_LPT=No
[FSUIPC MODULE]
FSUipcdisable=No
FSUipcRefresh=60
[IOCP CLIENTS MODULES]
IOCPini_delay=3000
IOCPclient0_disable=no
IOCPclient0_host=localhost
IOCPclient0_port=8099
IOCPclient1_disable=yes
IOCPclient1_host=localhost
IOCPclient1_port=8092
[SOUND MODULE]
Sound_disable=Yes
Volume=100
[*]
[QUALITYWINGS B787]
CONFIG_FILE=C:\Program Files (x86)\IOCards\SIOC\OCP4787_v2.0.ssi
MASTER=15,15,1,33
MASTER=7,7,1,35
MASTER=13,13,1,17

All my other PMDG aircraft work fine.

What happened?

Did SIOC start and stay open before the OCP4787 driver was started?

Did SIOC stay open after the OCP4787 driver was started?

Did the OCP4787 driver start and stay open?

Hi,

Did SIOC start and stay open before the OCP4787 driver was started? No and No

Did SIOC stay open after the OCP4787 driver was started? No

Did the OCP4787 driver start and stay open? No

When I start up P3D, OCB4BAv5 starts and then when I select QW787, I get nothing, no SIOC or OCP4787 driver.

If I start normally to choose a PMDG aircraft, I select Add-ons, OCB4BAv5 and choose the relevant aircraft I am flying and everything works great. So it is just the QW787 that doesn't work at all.

I need to take a restart in order to know what is happening.

1. go to SIOC folder and copy the content of QUALITYWINGS B787.ini to SIOC.ini
2. Start SIOC.exe
3. Does it start and runs? Check the taskbar to see if it is still running.

Sure, no problem.

So yes, it starts and runs and when checking the log window within SIOC is shows it loading the OCP4787 driver, screenshot attached

Ok, then we know that SIOC loads up OK with the 787 script.

The problem happens then when the QW787_Client.dll activates when a 787 airplane is starting up in P3D.

As you have checked and confirmed that the following items were correct( :

1. QW787_Client.dll in SIOC folder
2. OCP4787_v2.0.ssi in SIOC folder
3. QUALITYWINGS B787.ini in SIOC folder
4. OC4BAv5_path.ini in ...\Documents folder
5. add-on.xml in ....\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\rksoftware QW787_OCP4787

everything looks OK.

Just take a new look and verify that the path definitions are correct in the 2 last files above.

If the path is correct, the only reasons why it doesn't work are:

1. QW787_Client.dll is not running within P3D
2. QW787_Client.dll does not detect that a QW 787 airplane is loaded in P3D
3. QW787_Client.dll doesn't start SIOC or is ready to accept the call from the QW787_Client.dll

Run P3D with a 737 airplane and close

Restart P3D and select a 787 airplane

Check if SIOC starts and keeps on running and hs now the QW settings in the SIOC.ini.
