No POP OUT Displays?
No POP OUT Displays?
Hi Roar,
Just see this in the PMDG forum,
MSFS does not allow pop out displays for current PMDG build.
Not purchased yet,but is is this true? If so cockpit implementation is a no go

Re: No POP OUT Displays?
I am looking into the PMDG 737 for MSFS now. There is no SDK available at the moment. Pop out seems to be not supported yet.
Re: No POP OUT Displays?
There's not even a timeline for the SDK yet. Might be a long wait unfortunately.

Re: No POP OUT Displays?
Yes Ive purchased it and its true at the moment no pop out displays at all.
Give it time and the SDK to develop and it will open up gradually but at the moment there is virtually no home cockpit support in terms of that as yet - guess it will evolve.

Re: No POP OUT Displays?
Hopefully not too long given that the PMDG DC-6 Garmin430 does popout so they know how to do it.
Re: No POP OUT Displays?
No need for pop outs of CDU/FMC screens for the Opencockpits CDUs/FMCs.
Oi4FS_p737CDU soon to be release.

Re: No POP OUT Displays?
Latest info from PMDG regarding the pop out issue:
Pop-Ups of Displays: We have mentioned a few times that the C++ methods required to make the displays in the 737 "pop up" have been locked out of availability, thus preventing us from having the displays pop up as we have done in all of our products going back to 2008. Mathijs and Hans, or good friends at Aerosoft, reached out to lets us know we may have missed a notation in an update cycle of the SDK a while back that provides a provision to make this possible. We don't know for certain if it works yet, as we haven't had a chance to implement their recommendations- but I expect we will get to testing it on Mon/Tue next week and will report results. We use a different display drawing method than Aerosoft, but based on what I know technically, I don't think this will be problematic.

Re: No POP OUT Displays?
Great news by Randazzo seing that the upcoming update will support the pop out option.
Looking at the screenshot previews, these will be the traditional framed pop outs, which are not ideal for homecockpits.
Is there any way to hide the frames in MSFS?
Thank you.
Frank

Re: No POP OUT Displays?
We need this as WebApi! Because of Framedrops and something other stuff…
Re: No POP OUT Displays?
Agree, it would be great to have sa WebApi solution for cockpit dispalys.
Just hope PDMG will do it at some point in time.
I suggest users of PMDG 737 for MSFS send in requests for this feature via their forum and support ticket system.
