OC 747 CDU button swap function

Post by James Curry »

Hi all,

I currently have a Opencockpits 747 CDU/FMC and works well on the PMDG 747,

However If I want to use it in the 737 some of the buttons are in the wrong places etc, as the 737/747 FMC have different layouts.

Is there a way I can create a custom script to change the current buttons to custom ones so I can swap the functions over, If there is can anyone give me an insight please.

I'm fairly new to all this but have worked out the CDU is an input on channel 1999???
The buttons are mapped to the outputs if I load up the default 737 script, the titles however correspond to the 747 FMC
So for example, if I wanted to swap over button HOLD currently assigned to function 69 for the function of button FMC COM and its function 68, how would I go about this? Is it even possible?

Really appreciate any help
James Curry

would like a remapped keys rather than my current version which is water slide decals printed to state what the assignments should be, If I could swap a few keys over it would help alot

Sorry for this late feedback on your issue.

The keycode mapping of buttons is hardcoded in the driver, so it can't be changed by the user.

As it is a special request for a limited number of users, I can make a special driver, but that is a cost involved in it.
