OC4BA_XP and OPENCOCKPITS USB EXPANSION (help!!)

Hi guys,
has somebody connected OPENCOCKPITS USB EXPANSION to X-PLANE11 with OC4BA_XP??

I try to explain my point of situation and the problem.
I use one USB expansion card and three master cards.
In the OC4BA initialization file I identify the expansion card as “MASTER=31,4,3,18”; “31” is the IDX of many variables in the script.
In the attached pictures, IMAGE 1, you can see the final configuration.
After starting X-PLANE I pressed SHIFT-CTRL-Z to start your software; however nothing happened pressing some switches of my MIP/OVHP.
IMAGE 2 show you the window that appear (for about a second) when I start your software by SHIFT-CTRL-Z: there is no IDX for the USB expansion. Why that? Could it be the reason of malfunction?

Here is what happens during configuration and running the OC4BA_XP driver(CTRL_SHIFT_Z)

1. The config file ZIBO B737.ini file is created and holds the configuration you make.
2. In your case, you only have a configuration that defines the script to use, an MCPv2 and an EFIS-Captain
3. When starting with CTRL-SHIFT-Z the content of ZIBO B737.ini is written over to SIOC.ini before SIOC starts and loads the SIOC.ini and then OC4BA_XP driver starts.
4. This means that the content of SIOC.ini is overwritten(that is why no Expansion shows up in SIOC after the start of the driver.
4. In order to use the Expansion/Master cards, you must link the EXP/MASTER line in Modules to an operation in Operations in OC4BA_XP's Config window.

In the Operations box, you will see the types of operations that are supported in OC4BA_XP. There is no support for MIP.

You are right that there are script codes with IDX(Device) 31 that are MIP functions, but these are not implemented in the driver.

The reason these are there at all is that the script is based on the OCP4NGX script used in P3D and FSX.

In order to have MIP and OVH functions to work in OC4BA_XP, the driver must be updated.

At this time I have no plans to implement additional functions in the driver.

I can though, do it as a paid job, as it takes a lot of time to do it.

So at the moment I can't use my Opencockipts hardware with OC4BA XP, right?

You can use the MCP and EFIS you have and also the EXPANSION/MASTER cards, but only if you use them for functions listed in the Operations box.

I am not aware of any other solution to use to get your Expansion/Master hardware work for MIP and OVH functions.

I suggest you try to "google" to see if there are any other solutions to use.

The reasons for not implementing the MIP and OVH function in the OC4BA_XP driver are due to
ZIBO is under constant development and datarefs etc. are sometimes changed, which then means I must update the driver also.

The interest in Opencockpits solutions to be used in XPLANE11 is 1 to 100 compared to P3D and FSX. This means that the cost for developing full solutions(all cockpit functions as done in P3D/FSX) in XPLANE must be
taken by s small customer base. This again would increase the cost of OC4BA_XP to be too high for most potential users.

I rather put my time into developing a full 737 driver for the upcoming PMDG 737 airplane for the new MSFS2020 flight simulator and continuous support of the PMDG jetliners in P3D and FSX.

I tray to get working my Iocards with OC4BA_XP Prog.
i viewing the Tutorial,s more Times !
I do not have/find the OC4BAv4 Script editing Prog,
you show in the Tutorial.
In other Tut,s from you i,see there are so many things different,
then i can do in the OC4BA_xp config !
Where i can find a Tutorial only for install Iocards ?
I do not now and have the P+P what i see in the Tut,s !

You need a manually add a MASTER line for your USBOutput card in the ZIBO B737.ini. file( in the addition to the other configuration lines for the other modules)

MASTER=15,6,1,32 ( where 15 is MCP and where the last number is the same number you see in SIOC.exe device window)

Then you decompile the script file (ssi) with SIOC's edit_script to txt file and modify it so the output you want to use is used instead of the output that is there already.

To address the correct output, you must change Device id to the same device id you use in the configuration above and correct output number you use on the OutPut card

Then recompile the modified txt file.

Not all outputs are implemented in the OC4BA_XP driver. Check the documentation of OC4BA_XP which modules are implemented.

How i can Fix the Problem with my OC4BA_XP Program?
If I push VS-Button and then change VS by Encoder
I get this Error Message and Prog. Shut down.

Error Message:
OC4BA_XPz.exe Fehler in der Anwendung

Die Ausnahme- Unbekannter Softwarefehler-(0xe0434352)
ist in der Anwendung in der Stelle
(0x0000000075A8A6E2) aufgetreten.

What are the XPLANE and Zibo versions?

DO you use a modified SIOC script or the one that came with OC4BA?
