Opencockpits Servo Card with OC4BAv4, step by step

Post by lennis99 »

Hey all!
I have a very big wish and I hope so much you can help me!
I would like to link the Opencockpits servo card with a servo gauge (fully working) to the PMDG 737NGX.
I know there already is such a topic but I am a fully amature on that tarrain.
So I downloaded OC4BAv4, SIOC and I can move the Servo with SIOC, no problem until that.
Now I really don't now how to continue. I would be so thankful if somebody would explane me
in a few steps what exactly to do. As I said before: I am a complete newbie.
So, thank you very much all!

Make sure you connect your Servo to correct output so it matches what is coded in the OCP4NGX_v4.4 script

How to read:

Name of gauge, Device Index used in script (IDX), Servo output number , Servo Card

OVH-AFT_OXY_PRESS Device 39, Output 1 , OVH-AFT_ServoCard1

OVH_FWD_FUEL_TEMP Device 37, Output 1, OVH-FWD_ServoCard1
OVH-FWD_APU_EGT Device 37, Output 2, OVH-FWD_ServoCard1
OVH-FWD_DIFF_PRESS Device 37, Output 3, OVH-FWD_ServoCard1
OVH-FWD_CABIN_ALT Device 37, Output 4, OVH-FWD_ServoCard1
OVH-FWD_CABIN_CLIMB Device 37, Output 5, OVH-FWD_ServoCard1
OVH-FWD_ENGINE_L Device 37, Output 6, OVH-FWD_ServoCard1

OVH-FWD_CABIN_TEMP Device 38, Output 1, OVH-FWD_ServoCard2
OVH-FWD_DUCT_PRESS_R Device 38, Output 2, OVH-FWD_ServoCard2
OVH-FWD_DUCT_PRESS_L Device 38, Output 3, OVH-FWD_ServoCard2
OVH-FWD_OUTFLOW Device 38, Output 4, OVH-FWD_ServoCard2
OVH-FWD_ENGINE_R Device 38, Output 5, OVH-FWD_ServoCard2

MIP_FLAPS_L Device 36, Output 1, MIP_ServoCard1
MIP_FLAPS_R Device 36, Output 2, MIP_ServoCard1
MIP_BRAKE_PRESS Device 36, Output 4, MIP_ServoCard1

PEDESTAL_RUDDER_TRIM Device 40, Output 1, PEDESTAL_ServoCard1

What to do to configure your Servo:

Start OC4BAv4 and click Config
Click the detected ServoCard in the Module Box
The Servos connected to that ServoCard will be moving in order to identify it so you can link it to correct Operation
Click the correct ServoCard operation

Then your done.

You may need to adjust the servo arm movement to fit your specific hardware

Thank you very much, now it worked!
I followed your instructions and typed in the numbers of the needle position of the gauge in the script editor of SIOC.

Again, thank you so much for your fast response!
Cheers!

I put these instructions in the OC4BAv4 Documentation in OC4BAv4 release when beta test is completed later this week.
