P3Dv4 transition

Post by Mikealpha »

Just recently made the transition to P3Dv4 for my MCPv3 and EFISv2, with OC4... for 737, 747 and 777.
Steps taken, except installing latest FSUIPC5 version:

Updated all drivers using the Update function, incl. Scripts. Remade config files, and added add-on.xml as advised above.
Results so far :

1. PMDG 737: MCP and EFIS not working at all. No switch, no dial.

2. PMDG 747 and 777: Both MCP AND EFIS working fine, except one minor quirk :

For the seven EFIS buttons STA, WPT, CTR, ARPT, ... :
Every button executes the function to the left of it. So pressing WPT leads to STA, pressing CTR leads to WPT and so on. I did not notice any double function.
I`m not 100% sure (rarely used functions), but I thought it was working previously.

I rechecked the config/ini files, they appear identical for 737,747 and 777.

Is there anything I can do or check ?

Do you have the latest version 4.0.28.21686 of Prepar3Dv4? It was a bug in the initial release of Prepar3dV4 that prevented OCP4NGX driver to work.

Thanks, that was indeed the problem.

Regarding the EFIS, I just discovered I apparently have a non standard version with buttons ...

STA WPT CTR ARPT DATA POS TERR

The one currently displayed at Opencockpit are
WXR STA WPT ARPT DATA POS TERR

So that explains the problem. Strange ...

Anyway, thanks

You can change the script so it works with your hardware EFIS
