Blank (Flashing) MCPv2 and PMDG737ngx (SOLVED)

Post by frate »

Hello everyone,
I've been working for several days on my new MCP v2 from Opencockpits, and I can't make it work.
After reinstalling several times OC4BA V3 (following every instruction given in the "MUST READ" file), I was able to switch it on for a couple of seconds.

Power to the module is connected.
USB directly to PC (No HUB).
OC4BA recognizes the module as "MCPv2"
Script used "OCP4NGX_PP_v2.0.ssi" (Tried the other 4 scripts too, with no results)
OC4BA configuration
OC4BA configuration
ScreenConfig.jpg (116.09 KiB) Viewed 5069 times
When it has worked the displays flashed randomly.

What is ALWAYS WORKING:
all the buttons works correctly, also Vs and Heading knob (Hdg Knob changes only bank angle)
But NO light indications.

Here's the log of the moments when everything it has worked.

Code: Select all

Hi Voss,
Thank you for replying.

Got PMDG 737 ngx boxed version from aerosoft and installed service pack 1
(not sure if it's exactly SP1D, I've installed this update from aerosoft support website
PMDG 737-800/900NGX for FSX / FSX-SE (v1.10.6461)
download at this link http://support.aerosoft.com/index.php?a ... oducts=630 )

Tryed every usb port on my PC (2 front, 4 rear, 2 from an hub).
Databroadcast is enabled (set to 1).

Yes, all buttons and displays are working correctly.
I've tested te MCP with SIOC monitor.
Also using the default 737 from Microsoft, configuring the correct script on SIOC, everything works beautifully.
So displays are ok.

Procedure followed:
- Reinstalled the PMDG 737 ngx with SP1D
- Powered MCP
- Plugged USB
- Opened FSX, and loaded the 737 on a rwy
- started SIOC (v5.0) and IOCP console
- Log On
- Started OCP4NGX.exe

Log now is empty so I pressed some buttons and moved some knobs.
Here is the Log:

I've removed the PMDG 737 ngx and installed the SP1D again.

(What I used to do was:
- Removing the PMDG
- Installing again same version <- This is wrong
- then installing SP1D)

Everything now is working perfectly.

I do apologize beeing that stupid.

Thanks "RK Software" for the excellent and fast support.
