When you have time how about creating a program (as you did before with P3D) to allow MSFS to remember where all the pop-out panels are when shutdown so that we don't have to reposition them every time we start up... Roar, just for the exercise I ran P3Dv5 with PMDG737 and opened IOCPConsole in SIOC and checked the Var 1270 and it was working, changed digits with change of both hardware and virtual ALT knob. Strange that it doesn't work in MSFS because the script in both P3D and MSFS for device 15 is identical.....
